Micro Project 5

My word was swirl and the object I chose for the word was water. I figured water is something everyone uses every day and don't even think about how much they use it. What I wanted to do was try to depict the water and the Kool-Aid mixed being swirled together but it didn't really work out quite as well as I had hoped. It was honestly something where I really only got one shot at. Instead of using photoshop I figured the best way to represent it would be by showing the steps of making the drink. I started with the water, added the sugar, then the drink mix and stirred. I really just wish I could've gotten a better outcome

Micro Project 3

For this project I chose a spot that I first explored last year during an extra credit assignment for biology. The place is called Chadwick Lake and it's a research lake. I chose this particular place because not many people know about it and disregarding the fact that it borders 315, it's probably one of the most secluded and serene places on campus. When I get the chance, I like to just go out to this lake and think and sometimes do homework.

The images I used for a sculpture were the Heisman Memorial Trophy and just a regular boat. I chose the Heisman Trophy because it is the most prestigious award in college football and I have a special tie to college football. Ever since middle school, I wanted to play football in college but several things prevented that from happening. I still to this day wish I could play football at the college level. The reason I chose the boat is pretty simple; The Heisman can't swim.

The way I had my images set up is to show 3 different perspectives. One is a close up, another is at a medium distance, and the final is a far away shot. I especially like how the only one you can clearly define the trophy is from close up. When you look at all three images in succession it's almost like you're zooming in and out.
